Dhirendra Singh initiated his trajectory inside public administration as an active student leader at the historical St. John's College, Agra. Demonstrating early capabilities in grassroots organization, public advocacy, and managing complex regional disputes, he quickly transitioned into localized governance systems. He won his first major legislative mandate as the Chairman of his hometown, Rabupura, in the year 2001, solidifying a foundational legacy of leadership centered completely on public accessibility.

After securing membership within the Indian National Congress (INC) and serving authoritatively as the state spokesperson, Dhirendra Singh gained national prominence during the intense agrarian agitations in Bhatta Parsaul. Advocating fiercely for the land rights of local farmers, he successfully led massive protests, famously guiding Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi into the center of the movement on his motorcycle. This mobilization forced a critical nationwide shift in land security tracking, crediting him with directly shaping the essential provisions of the landmark central Land Acquisition Act of 2013.

Following a highly competitive election cycle in 2012, Dhirendra Singh formally realigned with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the 2017 legislative polls, successfully capturing the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) seat for the Jewar (63) Constituency with an overwhelming mandate. Demonstrating strong regional popularity, he secured representation for three consecutive assemblies. During the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, his political standing was further demonstrated by defeating veteran politician Avatar Singh Badhana by a substantial margin of popular votes.

Beyond playing a decisive role in reviving the multi-billion dollar Noida International Airport (Jewar) project after an administrative hiatus of 16 years, Dhirendra Singh has systematically advanced regional modernization. Under his direction, the constituency has witnessed significant infrastructure growth, including heavy power sub-stations, three newly operational government degree colleges, and a specialized trauma and multispecialty government hospital. His contemporary legislative path stands anchored in strict civic development, illustrated by his successful advocacy for the passage of the UP Lift and Elevators Safety Act to ensure high-rise structural security throughout the state.
